Meet Our Staff

Mary Ann Nahmens, PT

Mary Ann is a Bay Area native, received a BS from CSU Chico, Certificate in Physical Therapy from Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and an MBA from College of Notre Dame. As a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, she has practiced PT continuously since 1979 with an emphasis toward excellence and diversity of her manual therapy skills. She incorporates Joint and Soft Tissue mobilization, Cranio-sacral balancing and neuromuscular training into her manual therapy practice. Mary Ann is adept at treating adolescents, adults and geriatrics with individual attention. She has instructed peers as well as mentored interns entering the Physical Therapy field. She is currently on faculty at Gurnick Medical Arts Academy in San Mateo teaching Orthopedics to Physical Therapy Assistant students.

Mary Ann has a keen interest in athletics at all levels, from recreational to collegiate. The challenge to meet the needs of all these unique communities, keeps her eye on the individual with an appreciation for the wide range of possibilities and potentials available to each person.
