Steven Anderson

Steven Anderson, PT
Director

Steve Anderson PT has a lifetime love of exercise, movement and sports. A massive fracture to his leg threatened to take that all away, but is what ultimately brought Steve to physical therapy. Steve received his training (and met his future wife) at the University of Connecticut where he graduated from the Physical Therapy program. After moving to California, Steve was Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation at Peninsula Hospital. In 1987, Steve started ABA Physical Therapy Associates with his wife, Karen and he has been busy ever since.

Steve was blessed with great teachers in Osteopathic manual therapy technique. He has studied these techniques since 1983. His study of the holistic view of the musculoskeletal system combined with knowledge of the manual therapy techniques provided the groundwork for his own “epiphany of the body.” Steve developed and refined “Fascial Facilitation Technique”. This technique is extremely effective and remains the basis of his treatments.

Steve’s love of all movement and especially dance let him to volunteer for several years at the Healthy Dancer’s Clinic in San Francisco at ODC Commons and he continues to provide physical therapy for the Smuin Ballet when they appear in Mountain View.

As the Director of ABA Physical Therapy Associates, Steve provides a nurturing environment to share, grow and learn with other experienced physical therapists and to share his love of manual therapy with young physical therapists just beginning their journey.
